Sheldon welcomes 100+ new teachers during orientation

Our newest Sheldon team members were greeted by Superintendent Dr. King Davis, heard presentations about the school district from personnel services and received door prizes from community partners. 

Sheldon ISD has been one of the faster growing school districts in the northeast Houston area with enrollment reaching approximately 10,200 students. The school district’s mission is to provide personalized learning opportunities to ensure all students graduate college and career ready. In the 2019-20 school year, Sheldon opened its newest elementary school, Sheldon Lake Elementary, a new stadium and a brand new building for C.E. King High School. The district offers choice programs for parents including Compass Schools for elementary students, STEM academies at the middle school level, and six career academies at King High School.
