Important information about coronavirus

Sheldon ISD is taking precautions to limit the effect of any future outbreaks of viruses such as flu or the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). District administration is in weekly contact with the State of Texas State Operations Center and other local health agencies to stay up to date of any developments that may impact our region.

Currently, Sheldon ISD is directing campus custodial staff to increase the disinfecting of surfaces and doorknobs. We are also wiping down the seats on buses on a scheduled basis. School nurses will continue to work with campus staff to inform and monitor the use of standard precautions such as handwashing. The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.

Sheldon ISD seeks staff, community input for proposed 2020-2021 school year calendar

During the February 18, 2020 Sheldon ISD School Board meeting, two potential school calendars were presented to the Board for discussion. From now until Monday, March 2, 2020 (4 p.m.), SISD is engaging the Sheldon community for input on these proposed calendars.

Sheldon ISD is a District of Innovation which affords the district the ability to have more flexibility in the design of a calendar that best meets the needs of its students.
