Cross Country is distance running. Although it is similar to "track", cross country is it's own sport. Cross country teaches and develops discipline, strength, and endurance of both physical and mental capacities. Cross country has been around for many years and most people are introduced to it for the first time in middle school. It is about setting goals and working towards that goal, and always striving for improvement. These lessons can be translated into life-long lessons for the student.
This year I will teach the young runners all about the aspects of distance running including, but not limited to:
* Proper stretching techniques
* Proper warm up activities
* Good Diet and Hydration
